Ministry Use: Uganda does not have public libraries, and books are expensive and hard to get here. Yet sharing the love and hope of Christ is the mission of API. Every street outreach program includes a Bible story time and every evening in the homes the families have a family Bible study. We are in need of child-friendly Bibles for our boys in all of our ministry. Our boys also love reading Christian based guidance books on different topics for the teenage years.
Literacy is an essential part of the lives of our boys in the homes. Each home has a giant bookshelf that we are trying to fill with books. Do you have any storybooks in good condition that no longer entertain your children? Or do you have a favorite you want to purchase and donate for our homes? Number Needed: As many as we can get! COST: $10 from Amazon.com and you can ship it to our Stateside Address. If you want to donate, we can purchase one for $25 here in Uganda. |
